For centuries, Carolin´s family has been making wine along the Rhine on the legendary Grand Cru sites of the famed Roter Hang. Working with warm Rheinhessen vineyards that range from steep to steeper, she is proud to cultivate biodynamic Riesling and Pinot Noir on organic-certified sites in the dry-farmed landscape between Bodenheim and Oppenheim.
Since 2006, she has managed her family estate together with her husband, H.O. Spanier.
She is a nature lover, oenologist, businesswoman and mother of two.

History
She represents the third generation of matriarchs at the head of her estate.
Stainless steel tanks, Burgundy barrels, Halbstück (600L) Stück (1200L) & Dopplestück (2400L) Hand selection in the vineyard and spontaneous fermentations only. Whites are matured from 3 to 7 months on the lees before bottling. Reds are matured during 24 months in Burgundy barrels before bottling.

Certified organic (EC) No 834/2007 & (EC) No 889/2008. Since 2005, Kühling-Gillot has worked with biodynamic methods in all their vineyards.
